Portfolio 7 Integrated Raw Support (iRaw) 2.0

This is a free update to the integrated Raw support for Portfolio 7. This update allows users to catalog, generate thumbnails and screen previews as well as extract metadata from Raw files from most popular digital cameras. This update supports over 50 digital cameras.

Requirements

iRaw 2.0 is compatible with Portfolio 7.0.4 and newer releases.


Installation

To install the iRaw 2.0 update, simply run the installer that is appropriate for your operating system. The installer automatically detects your Portfolio installation and updates it. You must have administrative rights to install this update.


Notes

Screen previews and files created with the iRaw 2.0 update are limited to the smaller of the following two dimensions:
1. 50% of the dimensions of the original Raw file
2. The screen preview size set in the Catalog Administration dialog box.

Files generated with the iRaw 2.0 update are processed in sRGB and use the “as shot” settings recorded in the file. Raw files that have been manipulated in third party Raw software, including Adobe Photoshop will be rendered with the original raw settings with the exception of Adobe DNG files. Portfolio 7 does not have the ability to embed metadata or otherwise alter Raw files.
