Previous versions of Portfolio are not compatible with Portfolio Server 6. Macintosh Version - Important: When running Portfolio and the Express Palette at the same time, it is important to close a catalog in the Express Palette before switching to Administrator mode in Portfolio. Macintosh OS X Version - Portfolio OS 9 client application will not be able to successfully connect to a Portfolio OS X Server running on the same machine. - Server Launcher Portfolio needs to be in the same folder as Portfolio Server in order to function properly. - The Server Launcher Portfolio application sometimes presents an authorization dialog that refers to "Authorization Trampoline" or "authtool" rather than "Server Launcher Portfolio". Enter administrator login information as usual to bypass this dialog. - The Energy Saver control panel should be set to never put the system to sleep when the system is inactive (System Preferences>Energy Saver control panel). When the system is asleep, clients will not be able to successfully access the server. - After using the Server Launcher Portfolio application, you will not be able to move it successfully between volumes. To move the server between volumes, please install a new copy of the Server Launcher Portfolio application to the new location. You can do this by dragging a new copy from the disk image to the new location. - If the IP address of the machine running Portfolio Server changes, please restart the machine with the new IP address if you experience any problems with new catalog creation. _______________________________________________________________ ©2002 Extensis, Inc.
