Open a new Notepad (or SimpleText) window. Enter the template code between the hash marks below:

##########
<!--Port4-Header-->
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE> Portfolio -%page%/%TotalPages%</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY bgcolor=#FFFFFF TEXT=#000000>
<FORM>
<Table Border = 0 cellspacing = 30>
<!--/Port4-Header-->
<!--Port4-Item-->
<TD Align = left Width = 200>
<FONT FACE="Arial" SIZE=2><IMG src = "%thumbnail%"><BR>
%RID% = %Filename%<BR>
</FONT></TD>
<!--/Port4-Item-->
<!--Port4-Footer-->
</Table>
<!--Port4-%prev%-->
<a href ="%prev%">Previous Page</A>
<!--/Port4-%prev%-->
%PageList%
<!--Port4-%next%-->
<a href ="%next%">Next Page</A>
<!--/Port4-%next%-->
</FORM>
</BODY>
</HTML>
<!--/Port4-Footer-->
##########

Now "save as" to the folder you chose as 'Thumb_RID_Name.htm'.

Check the folder you chose and confirm 'Thumb_RID_Name.htm' is saved there.

Open Portfolio and select *all* the records (highlight/select *not* just display in correct gallery) for which you wish to know the RID.

Now select File -> Export -> HTML...

On the 'Export HTML' dialog, click the 'Add...' button.

On the 'Edit HTML' dialog, click the 'Import...'.

In the 'Open' dialog, navigate to 'Thumb_RID_Name.htm', select the file, and click 'OK'.

In the 'Edit HTML' dialog, in the 'Name' text box enter 'Thumb_RID_Name' and click 'Save'. (Important, Portfolio does not enter the imported templates name into the name box - you must do this yourself otherwise you will overwrite and existing template without being warned.)

If using this template with PortWeb, stop here - your template is now saved in the Catalogue. Otherwise, carry on...

On the 'Export HTML' dialog chose 'Thumb_RID_Name' from the list box and click the 'Export...' button. Choose a name and location for your exported HTML pages.

You should now have one (or more) HTML pages listing showing, for each record selected, a thumbnail and underneath both the RID and the filename.

You can now use this listing to 'decrypt' which disk preview file relates to which original file name.

See a demo of this process (target page links to a streaming Java Viewlet).
