Batch Rename dialog (v6)
This feature was added to the Mac OSX client v6.1 and into the Windows client as of v6.02. The dialog is called from the Item menu:

In each of the three drop-down lists there is a choice of four options:
- <none>. The default value. No change is made to the existing filename.
- Text. Add a descriptive text string of up to 31 characters.
- Number From. Portfolio increments subsequent images by one from the number supplied - e.g. 1,2, 3, etc. To avoid numbered filenames sorting incorrectly - e.g. 1, 10, 11, 2, 3 - you should pad the first number with zeroes. So, for a series numbered 1-99 use 01 as the start number, for 1-999 start with 999, etc.
- Original Filename. The original filename is inserted.
By careful choice of the 3 boxes many different combination of text or number prefixes or suffixes are possible. These are applied to the selected Record(s) in the order they are currently sorted.
If the filename already exists:
- Auto-Rename. [Windows OS only] Portfolio will automatically use a new unique filename.
- Skip File. The file is not renamed.
